The first reunion of Emery Babies was held on October 26 and 27, 2001, in Hattiesburg, MS.  It was so exciting to meet together and we could not wait a full year so the second reunion was held in May, 2002, also in Hattiesburg.  For our third reunion we met in Laurel, MS.  Our goal in meeting has been to share our experiences in searching for birthmothers and as a support group.

Our success after the first reunion was of a daughter being reunited with her birthmother and other family members. They were featured guests at the second reunion. 

We have had several reunions within our group and several new families searching for babies that were placed for adoption from the Emery Home.

The fifth Emery Babies Reunion was scheduled for October 2005, but was cancelled due to Hurricane Katrina.  It was held in March of 2006 in conjunction with the Town of Richton’s Centennial Celebration.  We were welcomed by the Mayor of Richton, Jimmy White.  We handed our literature out giving a background about us and letting people know about our website.  We participated in the Richton parade proudly displaying our Emery Baby banners. 

Below are two lists.  The first list is a partial list of Emery Babies who are searching for their birthmothers and the second list is a few of our recent successes.  For more information, we invite you to sign our guestbook and post a message.  We treat each baby and mother with the utmost respect and maintain confidentiality, if requested.

One sibling reunion took place in less than 24 hours and one baby located her birthmother after a 17 year search.  We encourage our babies and families to never give up hope!
